la Gamella is owned and run by the two partners Theresa Fedel and Fernando Legido.
La Gamella was founded by the US-American artist, traveller and passionate cook Richard Stevens in 1988.
Theresa, is native US American and came to Spain as manager for a global corporation. Her passion for the Spanish culture led her to invest in La Gamella in 1997 and ever since she has gone deeper into the Wine- and Restaurant-business. Amongst her countless other activities Theresa exports a fine selection of Spanish Wines to American key-markets.
Fernando, is a born Madridenno. He studied law and went to England for am exchange year and there it was where he discovered his true vocation. Since then it is hard to see Fernando not working. He previously held positions at Jose Luis, National Parador of León and Iroco and XYZ and entered La Gamella in 2005 as partner and chef.
